I got across, the web console has a time out limit. The default is 30 min.
If you like to change you have just have to change i the web.config file. I will recommend to made a backup of the file first.
The default location is c:\program files\system center 2012\Operations Manager\WebConsole\WebHost\web.config
Search for <connection autoSignIn=”True” autoSignOutInterval=”30″>
If you set the value to 0 = unlimted
I got a error message ‘Incomplete VM Configuration’, while the ‘Job Status’ was ‘Failed’. When trying to run a ‘Repair’, I got a message where VMM could not find the VHD file. I checked with the ‘Cluster Manager’, in the manager you could see that the VM was running fine on another host.
You can use GPO to destribute a list of site that have to run in compatibility mode.
User Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Internet Explorer->Compatibility View->Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites.
If you want to enter this information directly in the registry,
i)Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\BrowserEmulation\PolicyList (Create registry folders manually if not present)
ii)Right Click PolicyList ->New->String Value->Enter the name of the website both under ‘Name’ and ‘Data’ (e.g. microsoft.com)
Some times I have an issue with an agent.
The SCOM Agent won’t run on a monitored system. When one tries to start the OpsMgr HealthService this event is logged:
Log Name: System Source: Service Control Manager
Date: xx/xx/xxxx xx:xx:xx
Event ID: 7024
Task Category: None
Level: Error Keywords:
Classic User: N/A
Description: The OpsMgr Health Service service terminated with service-specific error 2147500037 (0x80004005).
Service Manager supports a Delegation Model for different User Roles. However, if you want non-Administrators to see and use specific Reports, this is not possible using one of the default roles.
I have create this short guide that use the build-in role-base access model i Reporting Service.
How to enable Remote Desktop remotely using Powershell
In Windows Server 2012, remote management is enabled by default but not Remote Desktop. To enable RDP on the server, add the target server to the Server Manager and run remote Powershell console. The code here can you save as ps1 file and use as script
<#On the remote Powershell console, enable remote desktop and firewall using the following cmdlets:
1) Enable Remote Desktop #>
set-ItemProperty -Path ‘HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server’-name “fDenyTSConnections” -Value 0
<# 2) Allow incoming RDP on firewall #>
Enable-NetFirewallRule -DisplayGroup “Remote Desktop”
<#3) Enable secure RDP authentication #>
set-ItemProperty -Path ‘HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp’ -name “UserAuthentication” -Value 1
